King's Medal for Bertil Falck
Bertil Falck, founder of the Göteborg Book Fair, has been awarded with a King's Medal for his significant contributions as an entrepreneur and founder of the fair.
H.M. King's Medal, created in 1814 and previously called Hovmedaljen (Court Medal), has been presented to Swedish and foreign citizens for special merit and to officials of the Royal Court for long and faithful service.
Gold and silver versions of this medal can be combined with chain or ribbon. The 12th size, representing the highest level of dignity, is the largest. Bertil Falck will receive the 12th size with a bright-blue ribbon. The same award will go to Pia Sound Hage, football coach, for his outstanding contributions as a player and football coach.
The medals will be awarded at the Royal Palace on Thursday, February 16 at 16:00.
