EPS and TIFF

EPS is more suitable if you are using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, for example, or another drawing, layout or picture editing program.
TIFF is suitable if you are using Word.

GIF and JPG

Suitable if you are using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, for example, or another word processing, spreadsheet or presentation program. (Inserted in the document as a picture object like a file.)
